Appeals

The appellate courts in the State of Texas exist to grade the trial court’s decisions on the “balls and strikes” of a case. Every objection lodged at trial is potentially an opportunity to overturn a conviction. We pride ourselves on staying on the cutting edge of case law and using it to serve our clients.

Both Rod and Kris have successfully argued in front of the highest criminal court in the State of Texas and have won post-conviction relief on the bases of unlawful searches and seizures, unjust restitution, and insufficient evidence to support a conviction, among others.
